1 Day Lake Kivu Tour

06h00: Pick-up and leave Kigali by PS Cars and Tours Rwanda guide to drive 4 hours approx. We also start this tour any other timings before 08h30. This imply change in the subsequent timings. Estimated 10h00-13h00: Reaching Kibuye, a boat will take you for a water trip to Napoleon island, Monkey and Peace islands in Kivu lake. While in the waters of Kivu lake, you will disembark the boat at Napoleon island and have a hike of the island to appreciate its beautiful views during the hike and at the summit. Estimated 13h00: Back from the boat trip, enjoy a waterside lunch before heading back to Kigali. Head back to Kigali via Kibuye-Gisenyi road Along the way in Musanze: Stop-over at Migano Cafe for leg stretching, using the washrooms before proceeding to Kigali. Arrival in Kigali city late in the evening.

Apart from this you can choose to visit lake Kivu at Gisenyi side on the way heading there you will see volcanos a home of gorillas, you will stop at musanze city and visit Gorilla Guardians village. Once you arrive at lake Kivu Gisenyi here you will be able to visit border of Rwanda and DRC Goma after you will then go to public beach from there you take boat ride to different highlands and visit methane gas and fishing place from there the boat will take you to Hot Springs if you are interested you will swim in that hot water and do mud massage Which will make your body smooth and relaxed. After that you will hike to see tea and coffee plantation with nice views of lake Kivu also you will visit The Pygmy people community they will teach you how to make pot and you will be happy with their traditional dancing. After that you will take lunch at lakeside or beach restaurant and get ready to go back to kigali See you next trip.
